Wharton’s IHFP and the Business School of the University of Cape Town conducted the fifth annual Executive Education Course on Housing Finance for Sub-Saharan Africa.The course was very well attended – 40 senior professionals from the private banking sector, central banks, local and central government departments, the non-government sector and international development agencies from 12 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The course attracted participants from West Africa, including francophone countries, East and Southern Africa, where the level of urban growth is the highest in the world.


    • According to past participants, the impact of the course on both housing finance practice and housing policy is substantial. This year's particpants look forward to using the knowledge from this course to assist in the development of the housing finance systems of their countries.
